Suburblimation
A study on suburban life.
The colorful world beckons us toward more time in nature, more exploration, more rest. Instead, we contain our sense of adventure within “little boxes made of ticky tacky.”
The yarn represents the systems we build to contain ourselves. The structures of routine, expectation, consumption, and conformity that quietly shape suburban life.
Yet the yarn is intentionally left unfinished, trailing beyond the canvas. What begins as containment becomes possibility: an invitation to imagine what lies beyond the boundaries we have built for ourselves.
