Be Kind, Rewind
A study on play and the enduring instinct to create.

I made Shrinky Dink keychains with my kids, and it got me thinking: we were never meant to stop playing. The impulse to make, experiment, wonder, and create doesn’t disappear with childhood. We simply learn to ignore it.

This work uses acrylic markers and plastic to create a playful field of color, light, and shifting shadows. As the shadows stretch and move across the wall, the work changes with its environment, inviting us to slow down and notice something we might otherwise overlook.
