My Mind is Made of Color
A study of color on differing materials and textures.

This work explores the way color shifts and transforms as it moves across different materials, surfaces, and textures. Each material absorbs, reflects, holds, or distorts color in its own way.

Unlike most pieces, which begin with an original painting, this work began with the physical act of sculpting and weaving directly onto the frame. Paint was applied only after the materials had been sewn, layered, and glued in place. The result is an exploration of how color behaves when it is asked to move through, around, and across texture.
